UPCOMING BOWL-A-THON

Habitat Hernando is planning a BOWL-A-THON FUNDRAISER either in February or March. Parties interested in participating, organizing or sponsoring these events, please e-mail Bob Jillings or Sarah Duncan. Sarah is chairing our new fundraising committee.

Any fund-raiser requires a number elements to be successful…

Volunteers – to be on the committee, organize the event, manage the event, clean up after the event, develop donors for door and auction prizes

Sponsors – monetary donors in exchange for on-site advertising

Prize Donors – businesses or individuals donating door and auction prizes

Players – paying to play with or without sponsors

On June 2 last year we held out first annual bowl-a-thon. While we had a lot of fun and raised some funds we want to do much better this coming year. We plan to hold it earlier next year while the snowbirds are still around and the local bowling leagues are still active. This time we hope to fill all the lanes.

If there are any professional bowlers out there who would like to volunteer their time, or expertise, we would love to hear from you.
